Does a label give you permission to negate or approve?
Does it give you power to assuage or soothe?
Does it make clear to what you allude?
Or make your opinions seem less crude?
Does a label help your comfort zone?
Does it make your perspective feel like home?
Does it help separate “us” from “them”?
Does it mean; “no need to consider their side again”?
Does a label help to facilitate?
Or does it segregate who participates?
Does a label include me and you?
Or does it mean one of us has to find something else to do?
Does a label create structure and boundaries?
Or a scaffold to climb for a bounty?
Or does it really just confirm the status quo,
And give none of us any room to grow?
